History of the festival

    Every year in late summer in St. Petersburg hosts the International

Oriental dance Festival «Ethno Dance». Having launched in 2012, the festival has grown to the largest event dedicated to the culture of the East, in Russia. This is more than 50 workshops for children and adults, 80 competitive nominations and 3 large gala concert show! Over the entire period «Ethno Dance» has received more than 1,000 visitors from 100 cities and 20 countries.

        Some of participants say "Egypt comes to visit us in Russia for a one week". Cairo Stars of the festival «NIle Group», as well as leading teachers of Arabic dance in Russia and abroad share their experiences, conduct workshops and help to immerse themselves in the magical culture of the East all the participants of the festival.

       All activities are accompanied by the famous Egyptian orchestra «AL AZDEKAA» with the direction of the honored musician and composer Reda Saad. In addition to increasing its level in the workshops, the participants have the opportunity to participate in

other events, to demonstrate performance at parties, as well as to visit the Gala concerts with the participation of all the stars.

«Ethno Dance» is an unique festival. And it is unique in the whole: a separate group and animation for the youngest participants, free lessons of new teachers of the Festival, affecting the diversity and number of teachers. And the atmosphere of the festival is open, warm and friendly.

And, most importantly, it is the most affordable training Oriental dance festival in Russia. Only here you can visit the workshop of Egyptian stars for 1300 rubles without having to travel to Egypt!

Organizers of the event are a professional choreographer Vasily Ivanov and a great musician-percussionist Ossama Shakhin. The main partner of «Ethno Dance» is Egyptian Festival «Nile Group». The attentive Russian-Belarusian organizing committee works on the, its annually begins its work in early December. Online registration begins every year on 20 January.
